"What a perfect weekend away. Fantastic location - with morning walks to the beach watching the cormorants fish. Feather pillows, homemade treats, generous natural soaps and body wash, cosy sofa with a view so much better than the TV! Loved the character of the whole Halzephron House - so many windows each with a different story to tell. Thanks Lucy and Roger for your warm, relaxed and friendly home, and for looking after us with dinner bookings and 'special' ingredients". Jessica and Luke
"There couldn't be a better place to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary - it felt like honeymoon again in this very romantic 'tower room' on the top of the hill with spectacular views over the ocean - especially at sunset! Thank you for the warm hospitality and the amazing breakfast (best mushrooms in England!). We look forward to coming back very soon!" Isabelle and Dirk.
"Beautiful house, stunning breakfast, can't wait to come back." Katherine and Mark.
Alistair Sawday review:
"A rambling white seaside cottage with a crenellated roof and the whiff of a gentleman's folly about it. Step in to a contemporary interior of thick wood floors, original paintings, velvet sofas and lots of fresh flowers: the Tower room in the house has its own white-walled sitting room overlooking the bay and, upstairs, a beautiful French bed. Peace seekers and lovers will choose to stay in the Cabin - a white painted wooden shack with roll top bath and porthole overlooking the garden - or the Observatory, a carefully designed funky space for two. Lucy and Roger give you super local breakfasts too".
Dogs welcome in Observatory & Cabin only.

The Cabin
Waves can be heard lapping on the shore below the Cabin which has had a makeover for 2009. Now you can relax in the Cabin after a day walking on the coastal path. The luxurious bathroom has been fitted with a double-ended bath and Italian fixtures. The sitting room/kitchen has views through the stone wall down to Halzephron cove below and across the walled garden. The bedroom comes with a goosedown duvet and pillows and mood lighting.

The Observatory
The Observatory, a ground floor, small and totally private guest cottage is set within the walled garden, a stone's throw from the coastal path. The views from here are stunning, south-westerly with a tamarisk foreground, the sea beyond stretching to the horizon.
The double-bedded room has an ensuite shower room with limited height, therefore not suitable for those taller than 6ft!
We allow well-behaved dogs to stay with owners in the seating area below the bed
